Girish Kasravalli to head Diorama Film Jury with Actors Manisha Koirala and Arjan Bajwa

The 3rd Diorama International Film Festival has announced its three International Juries along with the Indian Film Jury. The Indian Film Jury is to be headed by one of the top-ranked film directors in the country, Girish Kasravalli, and has Actor Manisha Koirala, Cinematographer Sudeep Chatterjee, Ace Editor Suresh Pai of ‘Bheja Fry’-Page 3’ fame, and Goan Film Critic Sachin Chate.


Diorama’s International Feature Film Jury shall be headed by Sri Lankan Great Prasanna Vithanage who has won over 35 international awards for his films. Other members of the Jury include noted South African Cinematographer-Director Bruce McDonald, prominent Moroccan Film Producer and former Director of Moroccan Cinema Center, Sarim Fassi Fihri, Turkish Film Director-Producer, Stare Yildirim and the South Korean Film Critic and Film Programmer for Locarno Film Festival, Kim Young-woo.


The International Jury for Short Films is headed by the Latvian film Director, Laila Pakalnina. Other members of the Jury are prominent Indian Actor Arjan Bajwa and the Former head of Berlinale Shorts at the Berlinale Film Festival, Maike Mia Höhne. The International Film Jury for Documentary Films is headed by award-winning Australian Film Director and Activist, George Gittoes. Other members of the Jury are the Egyptian Film Critic, Sherif M Awad, and the Indian Actor-Documentary Film Director, Rahul Vora.


Talking about the formation of the juries, Festival Director, Manoj Srivastava says,” We invite top film professionals each year to judge the films. The Juries this year at least shall watch films remotely and meet online for deliberations decide on some amazing films in competition at the festival.”

The Juries have started working and shall announce winners for the Golden and Silver Sparrow Awards on 24th December 2021.
